IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is meant to be a "free and easy" adventure trip. Participants should be relatively fit, with a good sense of humor, and above all, have the right attitude for close travel with others through possibly some trying times. Most definitely, this is not a trip for prudes, whiners, fuss-pots, and other similarly assorted types! We had a couple of those before and it wasn't pleasant for us or them. Although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption and/or deviation from the norm. Otherwise, have fun!

Nestled amidst the pristine Himalayan foothills, your journey through Uttarakhand's Jim Corbett National Park, Nainital and Bhimtal promises to be a captivating odyssey through the heart of India's natural and cultural wonders. Prepare to embark on an adventure, where lush landscapes, majestic wildlife, serene lakes, and last nut not least, the vibrant energy of the nation's capital converge to create a travel experience to roar about!

DAY 1 KLIA-DELHI Assemble at KLIA by 1600, to catch departing AirAsia X flight at 1900, arriving Delhi 2205. Overnight Delhi (nearby airport hotel)
DAY 2 DELHI-CORBETT NP After breakfast, we have a 290km drive to Corbett National Park, with a lunch stop enroute. On arrival, we check-in at our Glamping resort, to then relax and explore surroundings on your own, but not going too far as we are now in Tiger country! One reason dinner is provided for in the resort! :p Overnight Corbett (B,D)

DAY 3 CORBETT NP Hot chai at 0615, and by 0630 we start our relaxing morning nature walk along the clean river beside our resort, looking for wildlife which are most active at this time of the day. By 0930 we should be back at resort for a nice breakfast, and chill time. At 1330, our jeeps will greet us as the resort to bring us to Bijrani, one of the best wildlife watch areas for a 3hr or so safari. Many types of deer and wild elephants are a common sight, but the real prize sight would be the Tiger! Dinner will be served at the resort. Overnight Corbett (B,D)
DAY 4 COBERTT NP-KAUSANI We start our ascending drive of 185km to Kausani 1900asl. En route we take a short one hour return ‘forest-bathing’ walk to Barati Waterfall, a visit to the Jim Corbett Museum, and lunch at a community and coop restaurant, started by Jim Corbett himself when has alive and kicking. Arriving Kausani mid-afternoon, we have time to take in the serene surroundings of what is often billed as “The Switzerland of India”! Overnight Kausani (B)

DAY 5 KAUSANI Have a nice breakfast, as today we enjoy and easy to moderate 5km one way trek to Pinnath Village, 2750asl. The trail mainly winds through thick pine forests, and our efforts are rewarded by the sight of a beauteous Kosi valley, topped by the old mystical Pinnath Temple. We should be back at the hotel just in time to witness the sunset over panoramic views of the Himalayan Range. Overnight Kausani (B)
DAY 6 KAUSANI-CHANFI A restful lazy day of sightseeing with visits to Kausani morning market, Rudadhari Waterfalls, Kausani Tea Estate, and Baijnath Temple. After lunch we drive 110km to Chanfi, 2100asl. Arriving early evening, we should be checked in at our riverside Glamping resort to enjoy serene surroundings amid coffee, chai, and conversations, and when the sun sets, warm up to a warm campfire. Trust me, you will not want to leave this glamping resort for dinner, and a major reason why a nice dinner will be served at camp. Overnight Glamping Resort (B,D)

DAY 7 CHANFI No better way to take in the best of Chanfi than what we do today. After breakfast, we have time to soak in the serenity surrounding us and at 1030 or so, wo do a short 1hr+ riverside walk to Pari Taal and Waterfall. This is a less explored trail and destination, as we will pass several luxury private properties of Indian celebrities enroute. On arrival, chill out on the tranquil atmosphere while the crew sets up a stove to boil water and prepare simple comfort lunch of eggs and noodles. Back at the resort by about 1500 or so, we have just enough sunshine to have an icy water dip that’s guaranteed to warm up every fibre of your body! After another sumptuous dinner, we enjoy our last night in the lower Himalayas with good spirits amidst a warm blazing campfire. Overnight Glamping Resort (B,D)
DAY 8 CHANFI-NAINITAL We have a short 10km drive to Nainital after breakfast, and leave our baggage at the hotel, before starting off on a short 2hrs easy return hike to Tiffin Top overlooking Lake Nainital and the town.  Time permitting, we visit to the archaic but still splendiferous Governor’s Residence. Overnight Nainital (B)

DAY 9 NAINITAL A moderate Cheena Peak Trail hike of about 9kms await us today. Starting at 0900, the circle trail begins with a mostly uphill ascent of 3kms, then a more relaxed flat trail of few kms before another 3km descent. At a relaxed pace and lots of photo stops, plus lunch on top, we should be back at our hotel about 1500, to sip hot chai while looking over Lake Nainital from our hotel terrace. Overnight Nainital (B)
DAY 10 NAINITAL-DELHI After breakfast, we drive 320km to Delhi, with a lunch stop at Ramgar, after visiting its majestic Library Monument. Arriving late afternoon, we will stay at a downtown hotel, and with free time to explore this vibrant part of Delhi at your own pace. Overnight Delhi

DAY 11 DELHI-KUL One cannot visit India without taking in an Auto Rickshaw ride, and we will do just that to visit the old chaotic old market known as Chandi Chowk. One can see what ‘functioning anarchy’ can be defined after this short India experience!  Next we stroll around the area to the Red Fort to see its exterior, and then drive to make a bypass of India Gate and end with a la nice lunch at any of the many elegant Connaught Place eateries, from the highly recommended Kwality Restaurant with live piano music to McDonalds! After lunch we visit the Central Emporium where almost all of India’s wonderful handicrafts are sold at fixed prices, before leaving for the airport, with one last short stop at Ambience Mall to tale in a modern mall complete with a big supermarket to pick up last minute Inidan snacks, whiskies etc. There is even a big Decathlon store there with some good bargains!   By 2000 we will be dropped at the airport to catch our 2330 flight back to KL.
DAY 12 KUL ETA KUL 0735 and its home sweet home with memories of both chaos and calm! At end of day, India is really all about finding the calm in the chaos :D
